On November 19th, the first "Welder Master Cup" welding operator skills competition in the national nuclear energy system installation and manufacturing sector grandly kicked off at Baoding Craftsman Academy. The competition was jointly organized by the China Staff Welding Technology Association and the Baoding Municipal Trade Union Council, and hosted by China Nuclear Industry 23 Construction Co., Ltd., the Welding Equipment Application Committee of China Staff Welding Technology Association, the Vocational Education Committee of China Staff Welding Technology Association, and Baoding Craftsman Academy. Aotai Ai10 cobot welding system consists of a cobot, welding power source, and mobile trolley. It can automatically weld medium- and thick-plate components using line laser driving, greatly reducing labor intensity and welder skill requirements. The welding process is completed by the cobot and the control system, significantly minimizing human involvement and offering benefits such as high weld quality and increased welding efficiency. The system uses a GMAW machine with a melting electrode and supports pulse, constant-voltage, and low-spatter modes. The teaching process offers both manual and automatic positioning modes. The equipment is designed with lightweight construction for easy transport and installation, making it convenient and fast for on-site applications.
The arc welding control and line laser control of the Aotai welding cobot are entirely developed in-house and have been validated through multi-scenario, large-scale use. The system also boasts the following features:
